Planning Group Process To Develop Recommended Charter For Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC)
The MRRIC Federal Working Group, appointed by the federal executives of the Missouri River Basin Interagency Roundtable, has been charged with determining how best to proceed in establishing the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC).
Consequently, the Federal Working Group has established a MRRIC Planning Group process to develop a recommended Charter for the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee by the end of December 2007.
The MRRIC Planning Group consists of a Drafting Team and a Review Panel.
The Federal Working Group has engaged the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution, in its role [5kb PDF, 2 pages] as an independent federal agency, to convene, coordinate, and provide contracted facilitation and support services for a MRRIC Planning Group process to develop a recommended Charter for MRRIC. On January 24, 2008, the Planning Group Drafting Team reached consensus on the recommended Charter for MRRIC. Click on the following link to review the recommended Charter: Recommended Charter.
The Federal Working Group will adopt a formal Charter, based on the Planning Group's recommendations, to establish and guide the work and operations of the MRRIC in future years.
